How does Odor Kill Work?
ATX’s Odor Kill & Stain Remover works on the Pac Man Concept
The key is to get the Odor Kill solution in direct contact with the organic odor & stain molecules. The Odor kill solution of multiple enzyme systems and molecules functions just like little Pac men which very aggressively attack and digest the organic matter molecules. The Odor Kill enzyme/molecules must come in contact with the organic matter molecules in order to digest them. They work in the presence of food (organic matter), oxygen and water. When the area dries, the enzymes cease functioning and cannot be regenerated with water.
Once the enzymes are stimulated by the addition of oxygen and nutrients, the enzyme population grows, using the contaminated compounds as the food source. This process breaks down the contaminates into carbon dioxide and water. Once the contaminates are depleted, or the area dries, the enzymes are deprived of their food source, and either die or are reduced to inconsequential numbers.
Just follow the directions that are included with each shipment. We also include detailed directions on our web site, see below.

Establish the Severity of the Problem on a Scale of 10 to 0 — using your nose
Before you start, establish the severity of the problem: on a scale of 10 to 0 using your nose…10 being the current condition (the worst) and 0 being an odor or stain free site (the best).
Treat the affected sites(s) and check back in a few hours. Did it improve? How much? If only by a few points, you’ll have to give it another treatment, because the solution did not reach or penetrate into the entire mal odor or stain molecules in the affected sites.
It is important to note, that you did make progress with this first treatment. Keep treating the site(s) and be sure to get the solution deep enough into each affected surfaces.
In about 90% of the cases, only one treatment of the ATX’s solution will completely clean the site of organic stains and odors.
How do you remove smoke odors in a camper?
Smoke Odors in a Camper
1. It is an excellent odor remover. If the Odor Kill solution is able to get to the smoke / organic molecules it will digest them and remove them from the base materials-carpets, wall, upholstery, etc. It is not a masking agent,
2. Mix the concentrate in a clean spray bottle or garden sprayer — it must be clean, suggest that you go to the local hardware store and secure one of each.
Heavily mist all surfaces. You want the solution to reach all smoke molecules. If the Odor kill enzymes don’t come in contact with the smoke molecules they cannot digest them.
3. Start with a 15 to 1 mixture that should do it. Always mix it with water, it acts as a catalyst and activates the enzymes so that they go on the attack.
Visit our web site for directions on smoke odors. We have some drawings about how to apply.
How do you remove smoke odors in a auto?
Cigarette smoke in an auto.
The key is that the mixed solution must come in contact with the smoke in order for it to digest the smoke molecules. If there is residual smoke that could not be reached by Odor Kill, it will not be digested and removed. So, it will be important to get the solution as deep as possible into the carpet, upholstery, a/c ducts, all surface areas, etc.
Mix it 10 parts water and 1 part odor kill in a clean spray bottle. Generously spray the entire areas. Then rub it in with your hands where possible, and let dry slowly. The enzyme solution is working when it has moisture. It stops working when it dries.
Don’t forget IT IS NECESSARY to run the car’s air conditioner on
recycle, i.e., on MAX so that OK can eliminate the odors inside the unit,
as well as the air movement also helps to disseminate OK throughout the
interior of the car, itself. After drying, check for smoke odors and smell.

How do you remove smoke in my home?
SMOKE Removal in Home:
Odor Kill can definitely be sprayed in a large room and it loves smoke odors. It must be sprayed on all water safe surfaces. The key is to get the Odor Kill solution in contact with the smoke molecules. Odor kill acts like little pacmen which attack and digest the organic matter. They work in the presence of food — urine (organic matter), oxygen and water. When the area dries the enzymes can not be regenerated and it must be re applied.
You would not have to apply it every day.
The Marriott Hotel Group uses Odor Kill to convert smoking rooms into non smoking room ! They tested us against every possible product on the planet and we were selected as the best. This product is being used in hundreds of rooms every day.

How do you remove smoke on my fur coat?
Smoke odors on the fur coat
1. For the fur coat, I would suggest hanging the coat out in an open room, turn on a fan towards the coat, spray the coat and then mist ATX ODOR KILL in front of the fan. Repeat in another half-hour or so. also remember that wet fur has a smell of its own. We agree that will probably take out almost all of the odors by just spraying a damp mist solution (20 parts water and 1 part Odorkill), then rubbing it in lightly into the coat fur. So that the solution comes in contacts with as much surface area as possible.
If it doesn’t do it completely, and then I would suggest hanging the coat out in an open room, turn on a fan towards the coat, spray the coat and then mist ATX ODOR KILL in front of the fan. Repeat in another half-hour or so. Please remember that wet fur has a smell of its own.

How do I remove Smoke Odor Removal in Carpets?
Smoke Odor Removal in Carpets.
Your carpet:
Try to clean the obvious smoke stained areas with a mild soap cleaner. (You have already done this–good). This just cleans up the areas so those Odor kill molecules don’t have to digest as many of the smoke molecules.
Alternative A:
Mix it 20 parts water and 1 part odor kill in a clean spray bottle. (Don’t use it in the concentrate form, it works faster mixed with water since the enzymes wake up and go on the attack.) Generously spray the floor, carpet, top, sides, bottom, and the entire house interior. The enzyme solution is working when it has moisture. It stops working when it dries.
Also, you need to spray the mixed solution on all surfaces of the house, since the smoke odor molecules have migrated and attached themselves to all surfaces, walls, floors, carpets, drapes, cabinets, etc.
How much to use? Depending on the size of your house and carpet. I would start with 2 quarts and perhaps you should get a gallon.
Since it is a water-based product, you don’t have to wear any masks or take any special precautions Just don’t put it in your eyes or drink it.
Alternative application method B:
You need to rent a carpet cleaner machine (one that injects water under pressure and then sucks it back up). You should mix 10 oz to 15 oz. of ATX’s Odorkill and Stain Remover to 1 gallon of warm water in the steam cleaner (this gives about a 1 to 10 ratio of product to water). Then clean both sides, if possible, of the carpet with the cleaner. Generously inject the solution into the carpet. It must get to the pad. Do not vacuum it up. Let it dry slowly. Close up the room so it will dry slowly. After drying, vacuum, and check for smoke odor smell. Re apply if necessary. We also have directions on our site, which you can refer to.
If ATX’s Odorkill and Stain Remover gets to the source of the problem, then this treatment will solved it.
Just as a friendly suggestion, since you will have already rented the carpet cleaner machine, you could clean other carpets in your home with ATX’s Odorkill and Stain Remover by using 2 oz. to 1 gallon of warm water (a 1 to 64 ratio). For general purposes, this is all you need.

Smoke Odors in Wood Furniture/ chairs Sofas
Odor Kill should do the job for you. It loves to digest smoke odors. It is safe to apply on any water safe surface.
The key is that the mixed solution must come in contact with the smoke odors in order for it to digest them. If there is residual smoke that could not be reached by Odor Kill, it will not be digested and removed. So, it will be important to get the solution as deep as possible into the furniture.
Since this is water based, be sure water will not damage the surface. Odor kill does not include any strong chemicals and it has a neutral pH of 7.0. It does include some mild soap. I suggest that you will have to spray a light to medium mist on the furniture, let it stay on it for 2-5 minutes, rub it off and check it. Reapply as necessary. Use your nose to tell if it has been removed. The smoke molecules usually do not permeate very deeply into the wood.

It may take a few tries but it will definitely work. Then after the treatment, apply a good hand moisturizer to your hands.
We wear rubber gloves when we mix the concentrated solution because the enzymes will digest all the oils off our hands and clean them.

How do I Mildew in residential basement?
Mildew in residential basement:
The key is to get the Odor Kill solution in contact with the mildew / mold. Odor kill acts like little pacmen which attack and digest the organic matter. They work in the presence of food, organic matter- mildew, and water. When the area dries the enzymes die.
Re treat the area 20:1 or 10:1 is fine. Be sure to generously spray and on all surface areas of the room including the ceiling, floor, under and over the rug, tile furniture, etc. Make sure there is no external source of water that is entering the room which will cause the mold and mildew to regenerate.
How do I remove Mildew on foam Rubber Mattress?
Yes, we do have an idea, but it will take some work. ATX’s Odor-Kill and Stain Remover must get to the source of the problem area in order to digest the problem causes.
If we understand the problem correctly, in our opinion, you need to rent a steam cleaner (that injects water under pressure and then sucks it back up). You should mix 10 oz to 15 oz. of ATX’s Odor-Kill and Stain Remover to 1 gallon of warm water in the steam cleaner (this gives about a 1 to 10 ratio of product to water). Then clean both sides of the mattress with the steam cleaner. If it is possible to get between the carpet and liner, then clean that also. Also clean the floor where the mattress and plastic liner laid. Let the area alone for a couple of hours and then repeat the process. If ATX’s Odor-Kill and Stain Remover got to the source of the problem, then this treatment will solved it.
Just as a friendly suggestion, since you will have already rented the steam cleaner, you could clean other carpets in your home with ATX’s Odor-Kill and Stain Remover by using 2 oz. to 1 gallon of warm water (a 1 to 64 ratio).
I hope this info. helps and we would appreciate if you could give us some feed back.
How do I remove Mildew stains on Auto Cloth Vinyl Top?
Mildew stains on Auto Cloth Vinyl Top
We have had excellent success with mold and mildew removal.
It is hard to say exactly what will happen with your car top. I definitely think it is worth a try. I’d just start with our 8-oz bottle and try it in a hidden spot.
Mix it 5 parts water and 1 part odor kill. Spray it on and use a scrub brush to gently clean the fabric. Let it sit on the fabric and slowly dry. Maybe also put an old clean towel that has been soaked with OK over the spot and let it continue to work. Odor kill works best in a 70-100 degree environment.
It is water based with a neutral pH of 7.0. It uses enzymes to digest the mold and mildew.
We offer a money back guarantee, see below.

Mix it 20 parts water and 1 part odor kill in a clean spray bottle. Generously spray it on all water safe surfaces, especially in areas where mold and mildew smell the strongest. You may wish to rub it in with your hands on canvas, fabrics, drapes, rugs, etc., and let dry slowly. The enzyme solution is working when it has moisture. It stops working when it dries. It will not leave a residual odor. Let it dry and repeat if necessary the same day.
In your situation, ATX’s Odor Kill & stain remover will definitely help reduce and eliminate the mold and mildew smell /odors for a period of time (days) depending on how much continuous humidity is in the area. Some strains of mildew are very, very difficult to totally eliminate. If you can eliminate the moisture the mold and mildew will die. Open up the camper and let it dry out in the sun after the Odor kill treatment. Retreat as necessary.
If you would like, I’ll be glad to speak with you to discuss this further. Just advise the best time to call and your phone #.
How do I remove Mold and Mildew//Mothball Odors and Stains On Shoes & other Leather items?
Mold and Mildew//Mothball Odors and Stains On Shoes & other Leather items.
1. Start with one pair of shoes to try. Mix a solution of 10 parts warm water with 1 part ATX’s Odor-Kill and Stain Remover TM (ATX ODOR KILL).
2. Spray the 10:1 solution of ATX ODOR KILL on the outside and the inside of the shoes. Dampen a jay cloth (or something similar) and wipe off the shoes both inside and out. Rinse out the jay cloth and wring it out so that it is damp. Repeat this process taking care to especially treat the inside of the shoes.
3. Re-spray the 10:1 solution on the outside and inside of the shoes. Do not wipe off. Let them set and dry, but not near heat (a radiator, for example). The moldy smell will probably be very apparent at this time. The enzyme/microbes are on the attack and working. Wet leather also has a smell of its own.
4. After the shoes are dry, smell them. They should smell much, much better and hopefully no more treatment will be needed, if so, just repeat steps 2,3,4. Then just polish them to replenish the oils in the leather.
How do I remove Mold and Mildew Removed from Wooden Knife Handles?
Mold and Mildew Removed from Wooden Knife Handles Worked Phenomenal
I want to thank you for the information on the product of ATX’s Odor Kill & Stain Remover. I followed your directions almost to the T except for the following: I used a solution of 5 part water to one part ATX’s Odor Kill, and soaked the knives for 6 hours. I also kept the knives handles wrapped in a soaked cloth for 24 hours instead of the 12 hours you recommended.
Now there were 18 carving knives, 2 – 16 bread knives and 4 miscellanies boning knives, which add up to be quite a few $’s, your product worked phenomenal on taking the mildew or mold smell out of the wooden handles. I only had to use your product once, instead of the 2-3 times you recommended to take the smell out of the wooden handles!

How do I remove urine?
For immediate relief, try cleaning the area with mild cleaner … soap and water.
This will do the job for you; Odor Kill loves to digest urine odor and stains.
ATX’s Odor Kill and Stain remover will take care of both problems.
Just mix it 10 parts water and 1 part Odor kill. Spray the soiled area. Make sure the solution penetrates to the carpet pad. If at all possible spray under the pad. Then place a warm damp towel over the treated area and leave it for 1-2 hours. Remove it and inspect the area by sight and smell. Repeat if necessary. Follow the directions on the label. We have additional general directions at our web site. We include more info with the shipment.
The key is to get the Odor Kill solution in contact with the urine molecules. Odor kill acts like little pacmen which attack and digest the organic matter. They work in the presence of food — urine (organic matter), oxygen and water. When the area dries the enzymes die.
How do I remove Pet (dog & cat) Urine in carpet?
Pet (dog & cat) Urine in carpet:
Yes, Odor Kill will eliminate the urine odors. Just follow the directions: on the bottle, that are included and are on our web site.
Yes, it loves urine, but it will take some work. ATX’s Odor-Kill and Stain Remover must get to the source of the problem area in order to digest the problem causes.
The key is that the mixed solution must come in contact with the urine in order for it to digest the urine. If there is residual urine that could not be reached by Odor Kill, it will not be digested and removed. So, it will be important to get the solution as deep as possible into and under the fabric and the urethane foam.
Mix it 10 parts water and 1 part odor kill in a clean spray bottle. Generously spray the carpet, top, sides, bottom, and interior. The enzyme solution is working when it has moisture. It stops working when it dries.
Keep the problem area moist by covering it with a damp towel that has been saturated with the mixed odor kill solution. Keep it on the area for 4-6 hours. Let it dry and reapply if necessary.
Another alternative treatment method:
You need to rent a steam cleaner (that injects water under pressure). You should mix 10 oz to 15 oz. of ATX’s Odor-Kill and Stain Remover to 1 gallon of warm water in the steam cleaner (this gives about a 1 to 10 ratio of product to water). Then clean both sides of the carpet with the steam cleaner.
If it is possible to get under the carpet, then clean that also. Generously, spray the carpet with the solution; let the area alone for a couple of hours and then repeat the process. If ATX’s Odor-Kill and Stain Remover gets to the source of the problem, then this treatment will solve it. After drying, vacuum, and check for urine smell. Re-apply if necessary. We also have directions on our site, which you can refer to.
Just as a friendly suggestion, since you will have already rented the steam cleaner, you could clean other carpets in your home with ATX’s Odor-Kill and Stain Remover by using 2 oz. to 1 gallon of warm water (a 1 to 64 ratio).
Yes, we offer a money back guarantee for all situations and applications.
How do I remove Pet Stains?
Removing Urine Stains on CarpetsPet Stains: Removing Urine Stains on Carpets
The Right Way
Blot the area thoroughly. After you have soaked up as much of the stain as possible, spray or pour on a product … that contains ‘live’ bacteria and enzymes.
These organisms actually ‘eat away’ or digest the odor-causing bacteria, permanently removing them from the deepest fibers in your carpet and the padding below. … Beneficial bacteria attack stains and odors immediately and do not stop working until there is nothing left to digest.
…Set in stains. Special formulas are available whose ingredients …contain specific enzymes for exactly this purpose. For best results, we recommend a second application after 24 hours.

How do I remove Pet urine in Floors?
Pet urine in Floors:

How do I remove Cat Urine in Basement?
Cat Urine in Basement
We have numerous commercial rental customers who have the problems with pets.
Odor Kill works by using enzymes/microbes to digest the organic matter (cat urine) and converting it to CO2 and H2O. Once it has removed the urine it will not come back. The key is for the solution to come in contact with the urine so it can digest it. You’ll have to mix it 10 parts water and 1 part Odor kill and saturate the basement areas, corners, walls, floors. It will need to stay wet on the surface for at least 4-8 hours. If the urine has penetrated into the porous concrete, the solution must also penetrate it in order for it to digest the urine. A low-pressure washer would help force the solution deeper.
It may take a couple of applications…. but, it will definitely work! Once it is gone, you will not have to treat it every week. If a new cat starts in the basement then… you have to start all over again. The enzymes do not regenerate with water.
Call me and we can discuss it further.
How do I remove Cat urine and Feces in the backyard?
Cat urine and Feces in the backyard
Odor Kill will definitely remove the cat urine and feces odors. However, It is best used on a site-specific area, such as a rug, furniture, clothing, and car. Unless, you have the sites identified, you will have to treat the whole yard with odor kill. It will have limited effect since it will evaporate and you’ll have to treat again. Odor kill super accelerates Mother Nature’s decomposition process. So, the soil in the back yard it will eventually break down the organic feces and urine.
Have you tried spreading pulverized limestone? This has a pH of 10.0 and it will neutralize the acid urine and feces. The next step is the use of Quick lime Hot lime this has a pH of 12.0+, It is fast acting but could damage your grass. Go to you local lawn and garden dealer and talk to them about which one to use for your area.
As for repelling cats, there is a product out on the market that repels deer. Perhaps it can be used to repel cats. Check into it.
How do I remove Cat Urine In the Basement on Pine and Cement?
Cat Urine In the Basement on Pine and Cement
Depending on seriousness of the problem and the area is how many
applications and the amount it will take.
* Mop the pine wood floor and the cement floor with a solution of 20 to 1.
My estimate is 1 gallon of water and 6 oz of ATX ODOR KILL to the pine floor
and in another container 1 gallon of water and 6 oz of ATX ODOR KILL to do the
cement floor in the basement. Wet cement and the wet pine floor will
probably have a smell of its own.
* Spray a 20 to 1 solution around the baseboard. Wipe off the baseboard
with a sponge or cloth and respray the solution.
* Spray a 20 to 1 solution into the air conditioning/heating system Ducts.
* Pour out the solution in the containers used to mop the floors. Redo the
floors with new solutions since the other ones will have been soiled.
If fans are available, place at least one in the room where the pine floor
is and one in the basement. Let dry and smell. The odor should be much
improved but may need more treatments. Just repeat if necessary.
How do I remove Urine in carpet -Professional carpet cleaner?
Urine in carpet -Professional carpet cleaner
Yes, I do have some ideas. The obvious reason to me that ATX ODOR KILL didn’t work totally, is because it could not get any air! ATX ODOR KILL is aerobic. As we know, there will be some off gassing of urine anyway when ATX ODOR KILL works. In my opinion, this is what the gentleman should do:
1. If there are localized areas of urine, he should pour a solution of 1:10 on it.
2. If he has some old sheets, he should soak them in the solution of ATX ODOR KILL, leave them sopping wet and place them over the entire carpet surface (about 24 ft x 24 ft?). Since carpet is thick, the water and ATX ODOR KILL solution needs to get down in it. That is why I suggest leaving the sheets dripping wet. Let set at least an hour. Remove the sheets. The sheet can be re-dipped into the solution of ATX ODOR KILL. Wring them and wash.
3. He should then use a steam cleaner with a solution of about 15 or 20 to 1 to inject deep into the carpet and then the excess water will be sucked back up. 1:15 is 8.5 oz per gallon. 1:20 is 6.4 oz per gallon. Please double-check my numbers.

How do I remove Urine on Leather—How to treat?
Urine on Leather—How to treat.
ATX’s Odor Kill will do the job for you.
I works fine on leather and it loves to digest urine. Since it is water based, you just don’t want to leave it too long on a spot. If small amounts of water/ spray mist will damage the leather then don’t use it.. You can try it in a hidden area and experiment with how long to leave in on the spot.
Mix it 10 parts water and 1 part Odor Kill in a clean spray bottle. Follow the directions on the label and in the shipment.
How do I remove Human Urine in Mattress?
Human Urine in Mattress
Yes, it definitely works on human urine in mattresses.
It will take a little work, but it will be worth it.
Here’s how:
ATX’s Odor Kill & Stain Remover works on the PacMan Concept
The key is to get the Odor Kill solution in direct contact with the organic odor & stain molecules. The Odor kill solution of multiple enzyme systems and molecules functions just like little pacmen which very aggressively attack and digest the organic matter molecules. The Odor Kill enzyme/molecules must come in contact with the organic matter molecules in order to digest them. They work in the presence of food (organic matter), oxygen and water. When the area dries, the enzymes cease functioning and cannot be regenerated with water.

How do I remove CAT URINE in the House?
CAT URINE in the House:
Thanks for your email.
This will do the job for you.
You will need to mix 15 parts water and 1 part Odor Kill. The solution must come in contact with the cat urine. The combination of our unique proprietary formula of multiple enzymes/microbes in the solution perform like little pacmen. They simply eat and digest all organic matter. The residual is CO2 and H2O.
The best way to attack the problem is to spray the solution on a large area using a clean / new garden sprayer. You will need to spray the rugs and floors and possibly some furniture. Or you can rent a rug shampooer and mix Odor kill with water only, and use the machine to force the solution into the carpet. Do not vacuum it up. Let stay work/digesting and then dry. After a few hours, check it and re apply to the major offensive odor areas.
You will also need to try and find the main site where the cats urinated on. Usually they have one or two sites. So put your nose to work and find the strongest odor. You will then have to saturate this site with the solution. This may take multiple treatments. Also, it is a good idea to place a damp towel over the site after you have sprayed the Odor Kill solution on it. This will allow the enzymes to continue to work for you. They need food (organic matter) and water to work.
Hope this info. helps. Give me a call and we can discuss any questions or other ideas / situations.
All the best for a great day

Yes, you must remove the carpets; this will remove a significant portion of the urine source. You will have to also spray the solution in all the corners and in any place that the wall meets the floor and you suspect the problem. Remove the quarter round molding and spray the space where the wall meets the floor, cats like the corners and the urine seeps into the floor and dry wall. You’ll have to use your nose to determine the major spots that the cats used. We you locate them then concentrate on that area with odor kill.
Use a mixture of 10 parts water and 1 part Odor Kill. Be sure to use a clean spray bottle and do not mix any other chemicals with it.
Just remember that you must get to the source of the urine for odor kill to digest it. It is not a masking agent. Perhaps you should start with one room and get your technique perfected for this house.

Odor Kill works by using enzymes/microbes to digest the organic matter (skunk odor molecules) and converting it to CO2 and H2O. Once it has removed the mal odor, it will not come back. How do I remove Diesel Fuel spill on clothing?
Diesel Fuel spill on clothing
The key is to get the Odor Kill solution in contact with the diesel odor molecules. Odor kill acts like little pacmen which attack and digest the diesel fuel (organic matter). They work in the presence of food (organic matter), oxygen and water. When the area dries the enzymes die.
The solution can be applied at anytime. It is probably best that it be applied after it has been washed in soap and water to remove as much excess diesel as possible.
Or you can apply it directly to the clothing article as soon as the spill occurs. The enzymes will digest the rest of the diesel fuel or any other organic stain or odor. However, the more diesel fuel contamination on the clothing or other area requires more Odor Kill enzymes to digest the diesel fuel. They can only work so fast.
You can keep a mixture of 10 parts water and 1 part Odor Kill in a trigger spray bottle and use it when a spill occurs or you can use it straight from the bottle. It actually works faster when it is mixed with water since it wakes up the enzymes.
Check out the testimonial about diesel at our web site.
Technology of Odor Kill
Check out the section on our web site that discusses the Technology of Odor Kill. Also, check out the Technical Specs. Section. This is a very unique and powerful product.
ATX’s ODOR KILL & Stain Remover contains a combination of mutually antagonistic bioenzyme producing systems, which, through the use of 21st century unique technology, are made to coexist peacefully as long as they are in the original container. Let them out, and they instantly wake up and go on the attack. Since their methods of attacking a stain or odor are all slightly different, the combined synergistic result is much better than with the use of any single bioenzyme system. There is nothing else like it on the market!
ATX’s ODOR KILL & Stain Remover is the latest development in bioenzyme research. This unusual product was originally developed for industry and government uses, and is the result of 18 years of research and development in 26 countries. Developed by an industrial engineer / commercial diver who pioneered bio-remediation used for oil spill clean-ups.
ATX’s ODOR KILL & Stain Remover is an aggressive biological product, yet it can be used on water-safe fabrics and surfaces. Unlike other enzyme products that require 8 hours to 24 hours to work, ATX’s ODOR KILL & Stain Remover works immediately.
Trust this additional info. helps explain the cleaning process.

For your spilled milk situation we recommend:
Just mix it 10 parts warm water and 1 part Odor kill. Spray the soiled area. Make sure the solution penetrates to the carpet pad.
If at all possible spray under the pad. This is key, since the milk is embedded in the carpet pad which contains moisture and the milk is fermenting/souring and out-gassing at that location. Pull the carpet up — perhaps you’ll need to see a body shop company to help pull it up.
Then place a warm damp towel that has been mixed and soaked in the Odor Kill solution over and under the carpet’s treated area and leave it for 4-6 hours. This keeps the enzymes/microbes/molecules working and digesting the milk. Remove it and inspect the area by sight and smell. This will take multiple treatments 4-6 times over 2-4 days. It will do the job, if you can get to all the residual milk.
Please let me know you progress.
Call me or give me your phone # and I’ll call you to discuss it further.
I would suggest that you need to start with 1 quart of odor Kill.
How do I remove Milk Spills on auto carpet and upholstery?
Milk Spills on auto carpet and upholstery
What has occurred is that the milk has gotten into the open cell urethane foam and is fermenting and out gassing. You must get enough Odor kill solution into the foam so that it can digest the residual milk molecules.
1st get as much of the spilled milk up as possible using a wet towel and diluting the area with water. Blot it up, you must try to get as much up as possible. Then treat the area with a solution of ATX’s. Mix it 5 parts water and 1 part odor kill in a clean spray bottle. Generously spray and / or pour the solution on the upholstery and carpet so that it gets into it completely — top, under / bottom.
The enzyme solution is working when it has moisture. It stops working when it dries. So put a damp towel soaked in the odor kill solution over the area for 3-4 hours. Take it up and check for odor. Reapply if necessary.
Then let the area completely dry. You may have to use a fan to remove any moisture. If, it does not completely dry it will mildew will grow in the damp areas. (A new treatment of the solution of Odor Kill will also kill the mold and mildew).
When you have finished and all the odor has gone. Be sure to get the carpet dry, if not you’ll have mildew smells in the carpet.
If possible, pull the carpet up and treat under it and let it dry. You may need a fan to blow on the area to keep the air circulating and speed the drying.
How do I remove Gasoline / Kerosene Spills on auto carpet and upholstery?
Gasoline / Kerosene Spills on auto carpet and upholstery
What has occurred is that the petroleum has gotten into the open cell urethane foam & carpet padding and is fermenting and out – gassing. You must get enough Odor kill solution into the foam padding and carpet so that it can digest the residual organic petroleum molecules.
Mix it 10 parts water and 1 part odor kill in a clean spray bottle. Generously spray and / or pour the solution on the upholstery and carpet so that it gets into it completely — top, under / bottom. If possible, try to pull the carpet up so that you can get to the underside. Saturate it heavily, place a wet towel, soaked in the Odorkill solution under the carpet spot, and lay the carpet back down on it. Leave it there for at least 8-12 hours. Also put a damp towel soaked in the odor kill solution over the topside of the carpet area for 8-12 hours. Take it up and check for odor. Reapply if necessary. You will need to perform this treatment 4-5 times, over about 4-5 days. It will get better each treatment, so, keep doing this until the mal odor and stains are gone. The amount of time required to digest the petroleum will depend on the amount of petroleum that was spilled.
The enzyme solution is working when it has moisture. It stops working when it dries. Then let the area completely dry. You may have to use a fan to remove any moisture. If, it does not completely dry it will mildew will grow in the damp areas. (A new treatment of the solution of Odor Kill will also kill the mold and mildew.)
How do I remove Gasoline Spill on Ground and Mal Odors in the House?
Gasoline Spill on Ground and Mal Odors in the House
ATX’s does remove gasoline and other hydrocarbons, and all other organic matter. It is water based.
It will take several treatments for the enzymes to digest the gasoline in the soil. Basically, the ATX’s solution rapidly speeds up nature’s decomposition process.
I suggest that you first dig up as much soil as possible from the contaminated site. Spread it out on the ground. This gets as much of the source as possible. Treat this soil with ATX’s. 10 parts water and 1 part ATX’s.
Then, I suggest that you mix it with 5 parts of water and 1 part of ATX’s. Pour it in the same spot where you spilt the gasoline. The liquid should follow the same route and digest the gas molecules. The area needs to stay moist. I would saturate the area with the solution.
It may take a few treatments and a few days for the enzymes to work, depending on the mass of gasoline it has to digest. Be patient and keep treating it every day. Use your nose and determine on a scale of 1 to 10 the severity of the mal odors. Then, check it each day and determine how much it has been reduced.

If it is still present, then retreat. It may take a few treatments. Then let it dry. Check it again. Repeat until the odor has been completely digested by the Odor Kill solution. Turn back the thermostat so that the cooling stops. Run the refrigerator with odor kill applied to the walls and put some on the bottom of the cavity. The idea is to get odor kill into the air handling system since the mal odor molecules have attached themselves to it and they are being re-circulated.
The more contamination in the refrigerator area, the more it will require Odor Kill enzymes to digest the mal odors. They can only work so fast.
The key is to get the Odor Kill solution in contact with the organic / mal odors. Odor kill acts like little pacmen which attack and digest the organic matter. They work in the presence of food, organic matter-meats household foods, and water. When the area dries the enzymes die and stop working.
How do I remove Ferrets odor?
Ferrets
<< Would you ask your son if he’s ever tried this product on very light carpet?
I have the oh-so-light beige carpet…new, but not top
O’ line (apartment)…I’ve tried vinegar, simple green, nature’s miracle, stain stealer, commercial steam cleaner pet stain out
Stuff – nothing removes that faint yellow stain! I’m convinced my ferrets are from mars and I’m doomed! hahaha!

My Dad forwarded me your email. Yes, we use Odor Kill all the time for our Ferret surroundings. WE Spray Odorkill in Fanny’s Cage and also on any mistakes” around the house. It works great in getting rid of the odor. I think a key to it is making sure you spray the Odor Kill first then put newspaper down on top to keep it moist and that way the enzymes have a chance to really reduce the odor.
-We have also used it for stains and such on carpets and also on our couch. IT makes a major difference in getting rid of the stains and odors.
-Can’t concur with your Mars theory, but definitely agree that Ferrets can be quite out of this world sometimes !!!!
How do I remove Leather odors – removing?
Leather odors – removing
Yes, Odor Kill will remove the leather odor. It will take a few treatments. Just mix it 10 parts water and 1 part Odorkill, generously spray it on the leather surface and let it stay for 15-20 minutes. Wipe it off and repeat if necessary. Since this is water based, be sure that water sprayed on the surface will not damage your leather! Try it on a hidden spot first.
The key is to get the Odor Kill solution in contact with the leather odor molecules. Odor kill acts like little pacmen which attack and digest the organic matter. They work in the presence of food, organic matter-, and water. When the area dries the enzymes die.
Why don’t you give us a try?
How do I remove Old bloodstains?
Old bloodstains.
Just follow the directions. It will take 2-3 treatments Mix it with 10 parts warm water and 1 part ATX’s. Spray it on and saturate the area, lightly scrub the site with a small brush or old toothbrush. let it sit for about 30 minutes and then blot it up. Repeat until all blood is removed. Then wash the jacket (assume it OK to wash)? In warm water and only 4 oz of odor kill, that should remove all traces of the bloodstains.
How do I remove Blood on fabric Pillow case?
Blood on fabric Pillow case
ATX’s Odor kill & Stain remover loves blood.
Generously spray it on in a mix of 10 parts water and 1 part odor kill. Let it soak for 10-15 minutes. Blot up the excess blood that liquefies. Spray it on again. Blot up the blood. Spray it again and let it sit for about 30 minutes.
Then put it in the washing machine with mild soap or no soap and about 2 oz of odor kill.
This should do the trick. It simply digests the blood.
How do I remove Moth ball Odors in a Mattress?
Moth ball Odors in a Mattress
The key is that the mixed solution must come in contact with the mothball molecules in order for it to digest them. If there is residual mothball molecules that could not be reached by Odor Kill, they will not be digested and removed. So, it will be important to get the solution as deep as possible into the fabric and the urethane foam.
Mix it 10 parts water and 1 part odor kill in a clean spray bottle. Generously spray the mattress, top, sides, bottom, and interior. The enzyme solution is working when it has moisture. It stops working when it dries.
Another alternative treatment method:
You need to rent a rug cleaner (that injects water under pressure and then sucks it back up). You should mix 10 oz to 15 oz. of ATX’s Odor-Kill and Stain Remover to 1 gallon of warm water in the rug cleaner (this gives about a 1 to 10 ratio of product to water). Then clean both sides of the mattress with the steam cleaner.
If it is possible to get inside the mattress, then clean that also. Let the area alone for a couple of hours and then repeat the process. If ATX’s Odor-Kill and Stain Remover gets to the source of the problem, then this treatment will solved it.
Just as a friendly suggestion, since you will have already rented the rug cleaner, you could clean other carpets in your home with ATX’s Odor-Kill and Stain Remover by using 2 oz. to 1 gallon of warm water (a 1 to 20 ratio).
After drying, vacuum, and check for mothball smell. Re apply if necessary. We also have directions on our site, which you can refer to.
Yes, we offer a money back guarantee for all situations and applications.
See the guarantee below.
How do I remove Moth Ball Odors on a Doll?
Moth Ball Odors on a Doll
Odor Kill will remove mothball odors. Odor Kill is water based, so…. If water will damage or discolor your doll, no not use it. I realize that this may be a very delicate and valuable doll. The easiest thing is to just let it air out for a few days. The moth ball odors eventually dissipate.
If you still want to try some odor kill, then mix up a solution of 20 parts water and 1 part Odorkill and spray a mist of the solution on the doll. Let it dry, if there is still an odor, retreat with a heavier mist. Take is slow and easy.
The key is to get the Odor Kill solution in contact with the organic odor molecules. Odor kill acts like little pacmen which attack and digest the organic matter. They work in the presence of food (organic matter), oxygen and water. When the area dries the enzymes die
How do I remove Moth Ball Odors in A House?
Moth Ball Odors in A House:
The smell has permeated many places in the house so you are going to need to completely clean the entire house.
I believe you should order 2 x 1 gallons. I would begin with a solution of 1 part ATX’s Odor-Kill & Stain Remover (ATX ODOR KILL) and 10 parts water. Use this solution to:
* Every room will need to be cleaned. ATX ODOR KILL must get to the source of the odor.
* Shampoo the carpets (preferably with one of those carpet machines). (If the machine accepts about 1 gallon in the container, then pour 1 gallon of water and 6 oz ATX ODOR KILL into it.)
* Mop the floors.
* Wash the walls.
* Try as best as possible to wash the ceilings.
* Once the rooms are clean, and while the solution is drying, put a fan in the rooms and spray a few squirts of the solution in front of it. The ventilation of the air from the fan really helps.
* Spray into the air conditioning and heating filters and ductwork. Replace the current filter. Spray a solution into the air intake duct for 5-10 minutes with just the air-handling unit running. Do not run the AC or heater.
* Spray the closets, under the sink etc
* Wash the sink basins, the bathtubs etc.
* Spray down the sink, bathtub drains.
Once every room is cleaned, there should be an immediate improvement in the moth ball odor. I do not believe one treatment will completely rid you of the odor, though.
If you can muster up the energy the following day, you should clean the floors, the walls, and use the fan. You will begin to see dramatic improvement after the second application.
I hope these instructions are helpful and I would really love to have some feedback if you have some time to do so.
How do I remove Mothball / Mold and Mildew on Fabrics?
Mothball / Mold and Mildew on Fabrics
Many thanks for your email.
Odor Kill will do the job for you. It loves to digest mold and mildew and mothballs.
The key is that the mixed solution must come in contact with the mildew in order to digest it. If there is residual mildew that could not be reached by Odor Kill, it will not be digested and removed. So, it will be important to get the solution as deep as possible into the fabric. Washing in the washing machine is an excellent way to do this and clean the fabrics.
Mix it 10 parts water and 1 part odor kill in a clean spray bottle or in the washing machine. Wash in the warm water cycle.
For items that cannot be easily washed in the washing machine: Generously spray the article. Then rub it in with your hands and let dry slowly. The enzyme solution is working when it has moisture. It stops working when it dries.
After applying, check for the mildew or offending odor smell. Re apply if necessary.
How do I remove Olive Oil?
RemovalOlive Oil Removal
ATX ODOR KILL should remove the olive oil with no problem. The gentleman must wet both sides of the material where the stain is with preferably warm water. He must spray both sides of the material with ATX ODOR KILL. Wipe both sides with damp cloth (that is colorfast) and repeat. If some oil persists then he should dampen a cloth with warm water and then spray ATX ODOR KILL on the cloth and place the damp cloth on the material over the oil stain. Do exactly the same thing to the inside of the material.
How do I remove Red Clay?
Red Clay
As for the red clay stain — It may help but may not totally take out the stain. If he buys some for other odors and stains then it certainly won’t hurt to try it. It may help to lighten the red clay stain enough so that when he washes the shorts, the stain may be barely noticeable. ATX ODOR KILL does take out grass stains so it possibly could take out the red clay stain.
How do I remove TAR on Pants?
TAR on Pants
Yes, it will remove tar since it is organic. Try and get as much of the tar mass off the pants. Then use odor kill 5 parts water and 1 part odor kill. Put it on the spot and let it soak in the solution or put the pants spot between two towels that have been saturated in the odor kill solution. You may want to brush it a few times with old toothbrush; this helps work the solution into the fibers.
How do I remove Human body fluid smell?
Human body fluid smell
Thanks for your email.
Odor kill will do the job for this situation. It is continually used for this purpose by a number of companies. One of our customers, Atlanta Crime Scene Service, purchases Odor Kill by the gallon and uses it constantly. In fact, he has recently given us a testimonial, which will be posted on our web site soon.
It will take a little work to treat the RV. I’ll explain the concept and some directions for your application below:
ATX’s Odor Kill & Stain Remover works on the PacMan Concept
The key is to get the Odor Kill solution in direct contact with the organic odor & stain molecules. The Odor kill solution of multiple enzyme systems and molecules functions just like little pacmen which very aggressively attack and digest the organic matter molecules. The Odor Kill enzyme/molecules must come in contact with the organic matter molecules in order to digest them. They work in the presence of food (organic matter), oxygen and water. When the area dries, the enzymes cease functioning and cannot be regenerated with water.
O
Just follow the directions, which are included with each shipment. We also include detailed directions on our web site, see below.
****************************
The key is that the mixed solution must come in contact with the body fluids in order for it to digest them If there is residual fluids that could not be reached by Odor Kill, it will not be digested and removed. So, it will be important to get the solution as deep as possible into and under all effected surfaces.
Mix it 10 parts water and 1 part odor kill in a clean spray bottle. (Don’t use it in the concentrate form, it works faster mixed with water since the enzymes wake up and go on the attack.) Generously spray the floor, carpet, top, sides, bottom, and interior. The enzyme solution is working when it has moisture. It stops working when it dries.
I assume the carpet has been removed. You may also wish to use a low-pressure washer to force the mixed solution into the wood. Don’t use a high-pressure washer, as it will damage the wood. Possibly, the additional water will damage the wood and cause it to buckle. You’ll have to use your good judgment on that.
Keep the problem area moist by covering it with a damp towel that has been saturated with the mixed odor kill solution. Keep it on the area for 4-6 hours in order to penetrate the wood surface. Let it dry and reapply if necessary.
You may also need to spray the mixed solution on all surfaces of the RV, since the mal odor molecules have migrated and attached themselves to all surfaces, walls, floors, carpets, drapes, cabinets, etc.
How much to use? Depending on the size of your trailer. I would start with 2 quarts and perhaps you should get a gallon.
Trust this info. helps. I’d be please to call you if you need additional info. Just give me your phone # and best time to call.
How do I remove TEA / WINE Stains?
TEA / WINE Stains
I’ve many folks say it works on tea / wine stains quite nicely…sometimes
not quite as quickly as on coffee stains.
Odor-Kill should remove tea / wine just as easily as it does a coffee stain.
She should put the sleeve with the stain on it under warm water under the spicket. Squeeze out the excess water and place the blouse on a towel on a flat surface. Spray a solution of 10-part water to 1 part ATX ODOR KILL on the stain. Take a washcloth or jay-towel and dampen it. Spray the side to be placed over the stain with the 10 to 1 solution. Leave for about 15 minutes and check to see if most of the stain has been digested. If not, repeat by spraying the solution on the stain on the blouse and on the cloth to cover the stain. We appreciate her order and would love some feedback.
How do I remove Rubber Cement on Carpets?

it for a little while…best method, is use one of the orange solvents,
then use ATX ODOR KILL to finish removing the residual cement and the residue
of the solvent.
How do I remove Trailer with Mal odors?
Trailer with Mal odors:
Re: the trailer, I do have some thoughts on that. I don’t know about drilling holes, though.
A couple of factors come to mind:
1- how long it will take will depend on how bad the odor and stains are
2- how long have they been there? (heat in the trailer may have transformed them partially into inorganic)
3-breaking the surface tensions on the wood so the ATX ODOR KILL can penetrate.
4- Spraying the other areas of the trailer where the odors have permeated.
5- the gentleman needs to get started right away if it is to be ready for this weekend.
What I would do:
1- I would mop up the floor with just water, preferably warm.
2- Prepare a 10 parts water to 1 part solution of ATX ODOR KILL in a clean bucket (container) (not one that has had chemicals in it previously). Then add a few (about 5 – 10 drops) of dishwashing liquid (this mild soap should help break the surface tension). Apply this solution onto the floor with the mop.
3- Dip some clean towels or sheets into the mixture prepared in #2 and place them on floor area. Let sit an hour.
4- Open the windows and door of the trailer to have better oxygen.
5. – Remove the towels. The wet wood will have a smell of its own and there could be off gassing from the malodors.
6. Mop up the entire area with just water, preferably warm.
7. Probably will have to repeat the entire process. Start spraying (10 to 1) solution on all areas of the trailer. Wipe down walls and ceiling, spray the bed, mattress, pour some in the sink, in the toilet, trash bins, etc.
How do I remove Dead Squirrel in the Chimney?
Dead Squirrel in the Chimney
We have experience with this kind of application because ATX ODOR KILL was successfully used on dead skunks under a building. Since the skunks were on the ground the ATX ODOR KILL was able to stay on and surround the unfortunate critters.
Our thoughts are that you get the moth balls out of the chimney (I suppose by removing the plastic and letting them fall down). (Moth balls contribute to the mal smell, many people use ATX ODOR KILL to remove the moth ball smell.)
Mix a 10 to 1 solution of ATX ODOR KILL and pour it slowly onto the dead squirrel. Just mop up the excess solution at the bottom of the fireplace. This might take a few trips up on the roof to pour a solution onto the squirrel for the first few days. Also, there may be an immediate off gassing smell. As the animal decomposes it may finally fall out of the chimney. Then wash down the chimney with a solution of 15 to 1 one or two times and that should do it.
How do I remove Ink Stains that Will Not come out?
Ink Stains that Will Not come out
We have discussed this and have the following thoughts on your problem.
You did exactly the right thing to cover the stain with a damp cloth like the directions state. Did the stain lighten at all? If so, you will be able to with repeat applications to continue to apply some product, rub it in deep into the fibers and cover with a damp cloth. Don’t give up. Blot up the ink molecules as they are released from the carpet.
If it did not budge in color then, ATX ODOR KILL is not going to work on that stain. The stain in an inorganic material that does not breakdown with our organic enzyme system. Your carpet around the area should be very clean, however.
Although ATX ODOR KILL does work on organic ink stains, it won’t work on inorganic stains. It won’t take out permanent dyes, otherwise it would take out the color of the carpet, etc. it was applied to.
Our latest label and our directions do state that ATX ODOR KILL will eliminate the most difficult organic odors & stains… and that it REMOVES … ink…. It equally states that It works or your money back!.
How do I save my sofa?
I purchased your product week before last as a last ditch effort to salvage the $2000 sofa which my cat had ruined with urine. I must be honest, I fully expected to be disappointed.
I am sure you are not surprised to learn that there is no trace of feline urine odor on my sofa. this is a sofa which I have been treating for two years (he has a chronic urinary tract infection problem). I NEVER got the smell to completely disappear. you may be familiar with a product called nature’s miracle. it was the best the local pet smart had to offer. well, ATX’s odor kill took care of what nature’s miracle could not.
I’m sold and want to tell others! if it can save my sofa, imagine what it can do for the men’s restaurant at a fast food restaurant (now that stinks)!
I’m looking forward to hearing from you.
–Kay Thompson
Question? Can we use you comments as a testimonial for ATX’s Odor Kill & Stain Remover?
go ahead and use my comments. I just put the cover back on the sofa cushion
tonight. what a relief. the whole room smells fresher.
looking forward to the info you’re sending.
How do I remove Rodent Urine and Feces Damage?
I very seldom write a letter like this.
I’m writing to tell you about the excellent success we have had with your product, ATX’s Odorkill & Stain Remover. It saved the interior of a $120,000 Special Order, 1989 Porsche Sportster, it saved our customer at least $11,200, since he did not have to replace the compete interior.
One of our very good customers had stored his car in a garage for over 2 years. When he removed it, he found that it had been infested with rodents. They had defecated on every square inch of the interior, the carpet, dash and upholstery, and on the inside panel. The smell of urine and feces even permeated the fabric of the convertible roof. Our clean up shop, cleaned, shampooed and treated the interior with agent orange (a citrus cleaner). We had done this 3 times, but the stench was still the same and just as strong.
Now, it had the smell of orange rodent urine. It made everyone who came in contact with it nauseous. We also tried baking soda, perfumes, and everything else in our shop, but to no avail. We then advised our customer that he must replace the entire interior at an estimated cost of $11,200.
When you came along and suggested that we try ATX’s ODOR KILL & STAIN REMOVER we were dubious. You personally treated the interior one time by spraying and saturating the carpet, the doors, the leather upholstery, the dash panel and the convertible top. After this one treatment, the horrible mix of stenches was completely eliminated.
There was absolutely no residual odor. My customer was elated at this simple, effective bio-technological low cost solution! I am pleased to be able to recommend ATX’s ODOR KILL & STAIN REMOVER on all of our vehicles.
Thank you for introducing us to this superior product.

How do I remove camel urine on carpet?
Mr. Cardinas, in the event that I am unable to speak with you by phone, I wanted to send some suggestions on using the product to take care of the problem. Please see attached pages.
When it is convenient for you, I would love to have some feedback from you.
Thank you for your confidence in the product. We are very pleased to be of service.
Suggestions for using ATX’s Odor-Kill & Stain Remover™ for the removal of stain & odor of camel urine on carpet:
Depending on the severity of the problem, which I have assumed is fairly severe, I would like to suggest to do any combination of the following:
1. Soak up as much urine as possible with absorbent cloths, sponges, etc.
2. Mix a 20:1 solution (30 oz of water and 2 oz product per quart bottle). Saturate the area (pour it on the area). Take a hard bristle brush and work in the solution deep into the carpet. Soak it up with cloths and sponges. When water and the product hits the urine there will very likely be a bad smell from the off gassing of the urine. Don’t worry. Pour the water in the quart container first and then add the product; this will prevent so much bubbling. No harm done if you do it the reverse. The solution and bubbles that go down the drain will actually help clean bad odors in the drain. Also, if you can use warm water instead of cold water when mixing, it is preferable.
3. My best estimate, not knowing the details of the problem is to repeat step # 2 at least 1 more time and it may take 2 times. Each time there will be less and less malodor. Please keep in mind that wet carpet has a smell of its own.
4. Mix a 10:1 solution (29 oz water and 3 oz product per quart bottle). Trigger spray onto the area. Work deep into the carpet with a brush &/or your hands.
5. This step is not absolutely necessary but recommended. Saturate some towels in the 10:1 solution. Place these towels over the area to be treated and leave for a half-hour to an hour.
6. The urine smell will have permeated the room. Use the 10:1 solution to manually mist the mattress, inside the closets, the ventilation system, the bedspread, the curtains, the furniture, and inside the bathroom. Pour some down the drains in the sinks, bathtub and toilet. Preferably wipe down the bathroom floor and the bathroom counter top, sinks, bathtub with the 20:1 solution. Even the trash cans may smell of urine. Wipe them down too.
7. While the towels are saturating the area with product use a 10:1 solution in a fogger. Close the door and continue to clean elsewhere while ATX’s Odor-Kill & Stain Remover™ works for you. In the event your hotel does not have a fogger machine, then use 2 or 3 fans in the room and point them in different directions. Manually mist the solution in front of the fans.
8. After a half-hour to an hour remove the towels.
9. If you have a wet vac, use a 40:1 solution to clean the entire carpet. Often they hold 10 gallons so use 39 quarts of water and 1 quart of solution. Just scoop off any bubbles that accumulate on the top of the container before attaching it back onto the wet-vac machine.
This will even out the cleanliness of the carpet since you will have concentrated on one particular area and will even out any water ring that could be left when it dries. It will also aspire any additional water in the carpet so it won’t stay too damp.
